2. Jaylin Holmes (Jr., East Kentwood, MI)
Events: 60m, 200m
Overview: Making the trip all the way from Michigan, Holmes is aimed to make a lasting impression on Illinois soil. Though Holmes' workload will begin Friday evening with the 200m prelims, he will be a major threat in the 60m. His personal best 7.00 may not seem impressive from a national perspective, but keep in mind it was running in limited action as a sophomore.
Back to the main event- the 200m- no one in the field on paper at least can touch Holmes who has posted a swift 21.74 from last summer. This will be Holmes' season debut and assuming he is fit, look for an assault on the national top 10.
