Outlook: The girls will look to be the big races of the evening starting with flight 1. While this only holds teams #5 through #8 runners, this still will be a very telling race for some of the top team's depth. Lily Ginsberg of Prospect has the fastest seed time in the field coming in with an 18:57 season-best. The freshman has been in the Knights top five all season, even was their #2 at the Prospect vs Rolling Meadows Dual. Her most telling race though was actually on the track where she an 11:13 for 3200m at a recorded time trial.

She will be pushed by Chicago Latin #5 McKenna Fellows who ran also ran 18:57 at her first race of the season to take 7th place at the Whitney Young Invite. This will be her third race of the season, could she best her lifetime PR 18:45 that she ran freshman year at the state meet?

Watch out for these two along with Sarah Jay of Loyola Academy, Reese Lettow of Prospect, and Erin McCarthy of Loyola Academy who will all have a chance to get a sneaky win.

Flight 2 is something that you DO NOT want to miss! Several of the top aces in the state up to this point will be here: IL#1 through IL#3 will be expected to duke it out on the grass. Chicago Latin star Ava Parekh is the favorite as she enters US#2 in the three-mile. Parekh has enjoyed an easy time thus far but there is a feeling if she falls asleep on the competition, it could be a surprising outcome.

Parekh's key challenge will come from freshman standout Morgan Mackie of Loyola Academy who has been on fire all season. Mackie is undefeated and has already garnered a few different accolades to this point in her high school career. She comes in with a PR of 17:10, will she choose to push Parekh or will she sit back? All in attendance will bear witness Friday evening.

Don't forget about other standouts such as Anna Harden of Hersey, Marianne Mihas of Latin, Olivia Syftestad of Latin, Bea Parr of Latin, Julia Wolke of Christian Liberty Academy, and Hailey Erickson of Prospect who are some of the states premier runners that will also be in the field.
