It took a deadly virus, nearly four months, and a trip nearly 3000 miles in sunny California for the emerging star Lillianna Ifft of Bloomington to be able to log in her first outdoor competition of the year. The Big Red Barn Meet hosted by the Vaulter Magazine turned out to be a great competition born out of a tragedy.
In a mixed-gender competition which featured over 70 competitors, Ifft was able to shake the rust and have some fun while doing it. She would go on to clear 12-3 which left a huge smile on her face.
