-Indy Pike girls distance coach Courtney Bishop had a noble idea to get the four fastest girls 800m runners from his state and try and break the world high school 4x800 record. The goal was to bring some fun and excitement to the sport after a long and intense high school portion of the season. Although he did not have the services of his top pupil and Indiana state champion Elizabeth Stanhope due to illness. Stanhope ran a US #8 2:06.62 at her state meet. The team was able to continue the march. The makeup was Maddie Russin (Crown Point IN) 2:10.4, Maddie Ullom (Mason OH) 2:11.1, Marissa Rivera (Culver Academies IN) 2:15.4, and Abby Lynch (Brownsburg IN) 2:10.9 clocked a solo effort 8:47.64.
