Kahmari Montgomery (Sr., University of Houston/Plainfield Central HS)
Event(s): 400m and 4x400m
Montgomery was the greatest 400m runner the state of Illinois has ever seen during his tenure at Plainfield Central High School. His 46.24 PR still stands as the fastest time ever put up by IL high schooler in history. Now the Illinois legend is the current world leader in the event in which he cherishes with a 45.04. He already has three first-team All-American honors under his belt as well as a USA National Championship with his shocking win at the USA Outdoor Championships in Des Moines last year. He looks to be the front runner to win the 400m title this year as well as the 4x400m title with his team as they are seeded first as well.
