Summer Running Series: In The Lab With Logan Hall

Week 2-

July 3rd- 9th
This summer in my first few weeks of training the main focus is to get some good base miles under my belt to help stay injury free throughout the season. I am now into my second week of training for the upcoming cross country season and things are going well.

Monday, July 3rd-
Nearly every run is solo for me coming from a small town with hardly enough runners for a team. Ran 7 miles solo at about 6:20 pace and felt relaxed. This was my longest run so far in this training block. Stretching and Core after the run.

Tuesday, July 4th-
Relaxed on today's run and ran 6:40 pace for 4 miles. Mix of running on the streets and the track this evening. Core afterwards.

Wednesday, July 5th- .
Ran out of town a little bit on today's run and totaled 5 miles at 6:20 pace. Swimming and core after.

Thursday, July 6th-
A few guys on the team met this morning and they ran 3 miles. I continued on to reach 5 miles on the day at 6:40 pace. Swimming and core later on in the day.

Friday, July 7th-
4 more easy miles today in town at 6:40 pace. Core afterwards

Saturday, July 8th-
Did a 5 miler today at a controlled 6:15 pace. Body is starting to feel back to how it did in track season as these runs are coming very easy to me. Swimming and Core after run.

Sunday, July 9th-
Day off

30 miles on the week. Easily handling the mileage at this point and my body is feeling good which is an important thing to me. Overall a solid week of base training.
