Nike Cross Nationals: Let's Meet The Midwest Individual Girls

India Johnson (Sr., Hilliard Davidson HS; Hilliard OH)-  Ms. Johnson has come from a very humble beginning with distance running. It wasn not pretty during her freshman season...  she would finish 111th in the D1 state cross country championship. Johnson improved to 2nd in 2015. Being the top returner guarantees nothing and Johnson alluded to that in her pre-season interview. She put in the hard work to be the best distance runner that she could. Johnson dropped her 3200 and 1600 meter times down to 10:29.80 and 4:58.26. In addition, Johnson traveled to the NBON at the end of the school season and ran the 5000m. She beat some of the best girls and the nation before settling in 4th place and earning All-American honors. Back to this fall it has been all aces- undefeated if you will. Finishing second in the NXNMW regional race might as well been a victory. The 17:08 is the third fastest time ever run on the LaVern course
