Briyahna Desrosiers Blog: I'm Back Again

Hi it's me Briyahna back again. The last time I wrote I spoke about how it felt to sign with Texas A&M University; now it's time to get back to work.

On Sunday February 15, my teammates and I competed at the De La Salle President’s Day meet. It was my first meet in three weeks due to college visits. I have to admit it felt good to be back with my teammates. De La Salle was a no spikes meet which I am not a fan of but my coach said that we need the training so we ran.

I had the chance to see some of my summer team girls from the Legacy Runners Athletic Club (LRAC) which was nice. At the meet I ran the 55m and 400m. With the layoff with no meets I wasn't sure how I would run, but I ran ok and now back to our hallways I go this week. We have a meet on February 22 at Bloom H.S- maybe Coach Johnson will let me long jump this week, but I doubt it since he thinks I'm clumsy.

I found out last week that I will be traveling to New York for the New Balance Indoor Nationals meet next month. I am looking forward to competing against the best girls in the country in the 200m and 400m. I will be sure to keep you all informed on how it goes. Before I go I would like to thank everyone for the congratulations and well wishes for me signing with Texas A&M. See you guys next time enjoy your week and run well bye bye!!!!!
