Hi my name is Briyahna DesRosiers and I'm currently a high school student at North Lawndale College Prep on the west side of Chicago.
I'm a sprinter, so I run anything from 60m dash to the 400m dash. I run year round and have been running since my freshman year of high school. I ran at CICS Longwood (on the far south side) for the first three years. It was during my sophomore year that I had one of my best years with track at that school because I made it to state championship.
This past summer I participated in summer track running with the Legacy Runners Athletic Club (LRAC) and [produced] my personal bests in the 200 and 400. Personally I feel those are my favorite events only because that's where I get my best times. Now that I've transferred and started training with Coach [Zontavious] Johnson, he has pushed me to run hard and strong, fixing everything from my technique to my drive phase to my block starts and more. He's one of the best coaches I've ever had. I appreciate everything that he has done for me and I just love having him as a coach because he strives to make his team better and it never stops.
As far as college goes, I've just signed on February 5th to attend Texas A&M University for the Fall semester 2014 !!!
