Devin Ingram Blog: The Start Of A Great Year

Hey! I hope everyone’s start to the 2014 Track & Field season is going well! This is Devin Ingram, one of the many faces of Minooka Community High School. I am a sprinter for Minooka’s Track program. I’ve been running for Minooka since my freshman year as well as participating in other sports. I am very pleased to have the chance to chat with you all!

Here is a little recap on Minooka since we have started the 2014 season. Our first day out as a team was a success. A lot of guys stepped up right away and accepted the challenge of having a leadership role. They’re ready to take on the challenge of helping the freshmen and new comers adjust to Minooka Track and Field. I believe the amount of people that had showed up for the first day had fallen short of last year’s influx, but that could all change as we build our team up along these few weeks.  However, with the talent that I and others have seen from the members already here, we can tell this will be a great season.

The team and others are excited for the season and what the possibilities might bring. I am sure we are all curious of what the season has in store because of the amount of growth we’ve had. Speaking for the team, I can say we all have nothing but optimism. We had a great season last year as many can recall and hope for another great season in 2014.

I wish nothing but the best of luck for all our opponents as we start to get into the swing of things for the season. Runners stay healthy & teams stay together as a family.  Thanks for reading!
