Three Panthers Win Events On Final Day Of Calhoun Invite Apr 9, 2011

Durell Busby broke his own school record in the 110m hurdles and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's track and field team won three events on the second and final day of the Calhoun Invitational Saturday at Western Illinois.Behind the strong second-day push, Milwaukee took third at the event with 104.50 points. Illinois State won the meet with 187.50 points and Augustana (Ill.) was second with 119.33. There were 16 teams in the field.Busby ran 14.22 in the hurdles to eclipse his school mark of 14.24 set last weekend.

Simbi Laaro won two individual events and ran with a first-place relay to lead the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's track and field team to seven total wins on the second and final day of the Calhoun Invitational Saturday at Western Illinois.Behind the second-day push, Milwaukee finished second at the meet with 177 points. Illinois State won the meet with 210 points and Marquette was third with 106. There were 12 teams in the field.Erin Havener won the pole vault, breaking her own school record in the event and led five Panthers in the top 10 of the event.
