Naperville Twilight Invite 2025

Geneva, IL

Meet Information

A new location in 2025-

We are now just over three weeks away from our Twilight Invitational! Time continues to move fast! We are sending meet information a little early this year due to the fact that our meet will be run at a new place (for this year only), and there are lots of logistics for you to consider and to communicate to your parents. With that said, HERE IS THE MEET INFORMATION and HERE IS THE SPECTATOR INFORMATION for you to distribute to your parents (and it's especially important this year to get this to parents and spectators). Here are some items to emphasize at this point, three weeks out...

  1. Please note that the meet will be at the Settlers Hill XC Course in Geneva. PLEASE note the procedures on the meet information regarding bus drop-off and parking for buses and spectators. It's very important that we get this right. Drop-off can be at the top of the hill, but you will need to meet your buses in the lower parking at the meet's end. All spectator parking will need to be in the lower lots, but we will have shuttles available throughout the evening for anyone with limited mobility. Those with handicapped permits can park at the top of the course.
  2. Because the course layout makes this possible, we will run the boys' and girls' freshman-sophomore races and JV races simultaneously (with the starts five minutes apart). This will allow us to start later and still finish about when we would normally. Hopefully, that will help with any bus issues. The varsity races will be run entirely separately.
  3. We plan to bring 17 lighting stations, so the course should be reasonably well-lit. We also plan to light pathways in areas where the course is a little bit darker. It is also free of any major obstacles such as holes or rocks. However, please note that the ONLY light at the course will be light that we bring up ourselves. As a result, it is definitely advisable that you bring your own lighting for your team camps and for spectators. Cell phone lights will help, but battery-powered camp lanterns and/or battery-powered string lights for tents will really help. As will personal lighting such as flashlights or head lamps, especially for those who are spectating. Our focus is to ensure the course is safe, but there will be some paths for spectators are likely to get a bit dark.
  4. As is normal at Settlers Hill, there will be plenty of water at the finish, but it needs to be for those who have just raced. We cannot have mass amounts of people filling water bottles in the finish area during the meet. Please plan to bring your own water for your teams for before their races.
  5. Entries are due on athletic.net by Monday before the meet. Please pay attention to the deadline!
  6. Please fill out THIS FORM by Friday before the meet to help with announcing and to ensure we have enough coaches' meals!

Once again, we thank both New Balance and Naperville Running Company for their generous support of this event. Please reach out to any of us with any questions going forward, and given the changes this year, no question is a stupid one! Have a great next few weeks of racing, and we will see you in Geneva on the 8th!
