Welcome and thank you for being a part of the 2020 H-F Girls Track & Field ABShowcase. Northwest Design will be on site selling custom meet T-shirts.The ABC format allows each team to enter one athlete per event at eachlevel. This year, each team will also have "B" group relays. Lunch will be provided forcoaches and meal tickets will be in each meet packet. We are asking all teams toprovide one adult worker to run field events. Custom team awards will go to thetop 3 teams and medals to the top 3 places in each event. Each athlete will go through aspike check prior to entering the fieldhouse and spikes will be tagged with a small zip-tieonce approved. If an athlete reports to check-in without an approved pair ofshoes, they may be scratched from the event.
ADMISSION: General Admission ($5), Students & seniors (65+) $2.00

SANCTIONING: HF ABC Showcase is sanctioned by the Illinois High SchoolAssociation (IHSA).

TEAM ENTRY FEE: $230

PAY ENTRY FEE: Please bring the invite entry fee to the meet or mail the inviteentry fee check directly to Homewood-Flossmoor High School addressed toHomewood-Flossmoor Girls Track and Field Showcase.

ENTRIES: Milesplit will be open for team entries. Entries will close on Wednesday,February 25th at 12:00pm (NOON). We will not reopen or add entries after thedeadline in order to print programs for the event.

HOW TO ENTER: Please make sure that you place your athletes in the correct level:

Division 1 (A), Division 2 (B), and Division 3 (C).
GENERAL INFORMATION

1. The track is a 6-lane 200-meter Mondo surface with 8-lanes down the straight.

2. Long jump and pole vault runways have the same surface.

3. NO SPIKES are allowed! Plastic bottom track shoes with no spikes in them are

allowed, but we recommend bringing regular flats just in case. Athletes caught with

spikes in their shoes will be immediately disqualified and your program may run the risk

of not being invited back.

4. Shot put will be thrown on a wood surface on the turf field.

5. High jump will take place on the infield on a multipurpose surface. Rubber soled

shoes only.

6. We will not have locker room facilities available. Please have your athletes

come to the facility dressed to compete. Bathrooms are located around the track or in

the lobby. Team camps will be permitted in the North Gymnasium.


7. Concessions will be available throughout the meet in the North Cafeteria. Only water

is allowed in the Fieldhouse. Please note: no gum, candy, or drinks with dye are

permitted in the Fieldhouse.

8. Please turn in relay cards with first and last names of the athletes to the clerk of the

course.

9. The games committee will consist of Terrance Terry, three other head coaches, and

the starter-referee.

10. Participation rules -- IHSA limitation rule is in effect -- any athlete may participate

in a maximum of four events including relays. All other IHSA rules will be strictly

enforced.

Additional Notes:

The 4x200 relay will be run as a 3 turn stagger.

The 400 and 4x400 relay will be run as a 2 turn stagger.

The 3200 & 1600 will be run off waterfall and the 800, and 4x800 relay will be runoff in alleys.

Please turn in relay cards with the first and last names to the clerk of the course.The clerk of the course will be in the room located at the south end of the straightaway. Please have your athletes on time for their event.
PRE-MEET WORKOUTS: The Fieldhouse will be open for shake-out andrun-through Friday Feb 28th from 8pm-9pm for any teams staying overnight.
CONDUCT OF COMPETITION: We will only allow competing athletes and coacheson the track during the meet. All spectators must remain in the stands for the durationof the invite.

WARM-UP LOGISTICS: Teams will have access to the Turf Room for warm ups afterthe track closes at 8:45am. If weather permits, the Stadium track and North Turf Fieldwill also be available for warm-ups.
ATHLETE CHECK-IN: Athletes in all RUNNING EVENTS must check-in with theclerk of the course located in the Fieldhouse Wrestling Room 15 minutes prior to theirrace. Athletes should be ready when reporting to the clerks room. If the race permits,the clerk will also distribute hip numbers. Athletes will also receive final instructions fortheir event at this time. After receiving hip numbers, athletes should remain in theclerks room until called to the start line. FIELD EVENT athletes must also formallycheck in with their event staff.
ATHLETIC TRAINERS: Homewood-Flossmoor High School will provide an AthleticTrainer for the meet. The Training Room is located inside the Fieldhouse.
RESULTS: Results will be available online at ILpreptoptiming.com and posted on thesame website. Results will also be located on Il.Milesplit.com and Athletic.net
AWARDS: Medals will be awarded to places 1st-3rd on all three levels. Team awardswill be the combined scores of all 3 levels.
