Corn Belt Conference Meet 2008

Daniella Bunch (Jr., Mahomet-Seymour, IL) had the goal of breaking the 50 foot barrier in the girls shot put all season long. On Monday evening Bunch did just that, winning the Corn Belt Conference Meet event with a new outdoor U.S. #1 throw of 51-00.75. According to one onlooker at the meet, Bunch's series of six throws were 49-00, foul, 50-00.50, 49-05, 51-00.75 and 49-09.
