After another week of track & field action in Illinois, it's time to vote for the MileSplit Illinois boys performer of the week.

This Week's Nominees:
Graham Meister, Dwight: Captured victories in both throws at two different meets last week, posting 65-5.25 in the shot put at Road to Sectionals and 162-9.75 in the discus at the Tri-County Conference Championship Meet. The throw of 65-5.25 ranks him as the top junior in Illinois in the shot put.
Philip Cupial, Downers Grove (North): Clocked 1:51.40 to win the 800 meters at the McCarthy Memorial Invite, taking down a field of 33 runners.
Bennett Konkey, Geneva: Swept the sprints at the Kane County Invitational with times of 10.41 in the 100 meters and 21.00 (nwi) in the 200 meters. Both victories moved him to #1 among Illinois juniors in their respective events.
Kyle Quaid-Bowman, Glen Ellyn (Glenbard South): Cleared 17-3 to win the pole vault at the 92nd Annual DuPage County Track and Field Championships, topping a field of 34 vaulters.
Brady Anderson, Morrison: Won both sprints at the Lena-Winslow Boys Gates Jamboree, running 10.63 in the 100 meters against 47 competitors and 21.14 in the 200 meters in a field of 42.
Mynard Blake, Evanston: Earned three victories at the TT Classic hosted by Thornton HS. Blake ran a leg on the state-leading 4x100 relay that clocked a smoking IL#1 41.03. In Blake's second event, he broke open the 4x200 relay on the second leg, producing the fastest time in state history, 1:24.94. Blake concluded the gold medal day in the 200, blazing a wind-legal 21.29 (+0.2).
Jaden Jean-Paul, Evanston: A new star is emerging for the Wildkits. The standout junior cleared 6'10.25" to cop IL#2 mark at the TT Thorton Classic. Jean-Paul returned to place second in the triple jump with a PB and IL#10 46'4.5" (nwi).
