2025 has been an excellent year for this event in many respects. A ton of fleet-footed returners is one reason, and most notably, fast kids have made this event pop. Even if you take IL #2
Zion Morrison (So., Homewood-Flossmoor),
Matt Scardina (Sr., Jacobs),
Parrish Hartley Jr (Sr., Chicago Kenwood), and several other top speedsters who did not compete in this event last year, the list is still very strong.
William Landwer has improved exponentially from a year in which he ran 22.71. In fairness to him, he concentrated on the 110-meter High Hurdles. As we enter the postseason, we will be a key figure in his newly found event.
