Didn't we tell you the point value in class 3A would shrink? Look at it now. Coming out of the sectional, Whitney Young has a slight edge over Huntley, officially making this a toss-up for who wins the title. There is quality and star power all over this 3A meet; we haven't seen it like this in quite some time.
Huntley wants to defend the crown that everyone wants. Neuqua Valley came to play after being quiet during most of the outdoor season and put themselves into trophy contention. It's wild that some teams not in the top three still have room for growth and can move up. Normal Community, Glenwood, Prospect, and Homewood-Flossmoor fit that description. Please do not count these teams out for a trophy! Most of these teams cannot afford to have mishaps this weekend; the star power we mentioned is too good.
