Charlize-Trinity McKenzie clocked a new state-leading 1600 meter time on Sunday at the 4th Annual Morolake Akinosun Elite Invitational.
The sophomore class mid-distance and distance stand-out from Cedarburg, and representing P23 Family Racing, went 4:57.24 for a runner-up effort, trailing only Allison Ince to the line.
Ince, an Illinois native from Normal (Community) broke the tape with a tremendous mark of 4:46.67, which stands currently as the top performance nation-wide during the 2024 indoor track and field season.
