Arguably, the nation's top twin sister dynamic distance running duo, Samantha Humphries and Nicole Humphries of Flower Mound, Texas, have joined the ranks of what is expected to be a stellar HOKA Mile at the CYUP Misfits Invitational at the Dr. Conrad Worrill Track & Field Center in Chicago. The date of the meet is Saturday, January, 20, 2024.
The Humphries have put most of their opponents in their rearview mirror. In 2023, Flower Mound enjoyed much success on the twins' strength. The seldomly ran 4x800 relay in Texas produced a scorcher 8:55.80- good for US#6.
Samantha produced the country's 10th fastest 1600m (4:40.10) last season and is the sixth fastest returner. Nicole ran 4:44.91 a season ago and is among the nation's 20 best-returning milers. She adds a sizzling 800m in 2:06.82- 7th fastest returner in the country.
The University of Oregon bound twins join a stout field with ten girls under 5:00 for the mile. Among the key entrants is the elusive Rachel Forsyth (Sr., Ann Arbor MI).
