50th Amboy Columbus Day Cross Country Invite (Not post-season)

-Boys: Eureka 43-52 over Elmwood. Patrick Hilby (Sr., Aurora Central Catholic) wins by six seconds 15:21 on the 2.95 mile layout.

Girls: Eureka is an easy winner over Elmwood 39-93; Meika Bender (Jr., Eureka) takes the win in 18:13

NTC Conference Meet

Boys: It was a small meet, but Cowden-Herrick wins w/32 points; August Coosart (So., Cowden) 16:36 for 5K

Girls: No freshman sensation Isabella Keller in the meet, but St. Anthony of Effingham still won, scoring 27 points. Aubrey Denning (Fr., St. Anthony) won at 19:28.

Little Illini Conference Meet

Boys: The meet was held in Terre Haute IN, at Laverne-Gibson on a makeshift three-mile course instead of the conventional 5000m layout. Austin Wesley (Sr., Robinson) took first place honors in 16:21. Newton won the team title, scoring 38 points.

Girls: Marshall went 1-2 on the strength of Molly Farrell and Madeleine Fox, who ran 17:43 and 19:11. Olney Richland County won the meet 42-43 over Robinson.

Gateway Metro Conference Championship

Boys: Elijah Gregory (Sr., Centralia Christ Our Rock Lutheran) 16:32; Father McGivney wins with 40 pts

Girls: Father McGivney wins the meet on the backs of a 1-2 finish by Elena Rybak (Jr) and Kaitlyn Hatley (Sr) 17:37 and 18:04

Apollo Conference

Boys: Julian Baker (Sr., Mt. Zion) takes the cake by 16 seconds in 15:21; 2A #14 Mt. Zion wins the title scoring 31 pts

Girls: It was a close race, but Ava Boyd (Sr., Mahomet-Seymour) won by one second in 18:09. 2A #12 Mt. Zion is the team title victor with 30 pts.

10/11----

Lakeshore Athletic Conference

Boys: Carlos Lucero (Sr., Evanston Beacon Academy) wins the race in 17:50, and his team wins the "dual meet" vs. Chicago [Lycee Francais de Chicago] 25-30.

Girls: Camille Brice (Sr., Lycee de Francais) 23:19 

Southwestern Conference Championship

Boys: #6 O'Fallon sweeps the race 1-5 with Dylan Ybarra (Sr.) rolling 14:17 on the 2.9 mile course.

Girls: Ellie Bush (So., O'Fallon) gets the one-second win 17:40, but #12 Edwardsville is victorious with 23 points.

10/12-----

BDC Conference Meet

Boys: Fairfield wins the team title, scoring 30 points. Grant Jennette (So.) is the individual winner with a time of 17:01.

Girls: Molly Merrill (Jr., Goreville) takes the individual title in 20:28; Fairfield wins the two-team battle w/17 pts.


Chicago Prep Conference Meet

Boys: Adin Gillers (Jr., Deerfield Rochelle Zell) 17:20 takes the win; Rochelle Zell wins the four team event with 21 pts.


ISL Conference Championships

Boys: Northridge Prep turns back Chicago Latin 27-65; John Kipp (Sr., Northridge Prep) gets the win in 16:19 (5K)

Girls: Mia Kotler (Jr., Chicago Latin), one of the state's elite runners, cruises to victory in 18:18; Latin holds on over Chicago U High 51-54. 

South Seven Conference Meet

Boys: Dylon Nalley (Sr., Marion) breaks the course record by 30 secs with a time of 14:30; 2A #12 Marion wins 25-40 over #18 Mt. Vernon

Girls: Kara Odum (So., Marion) wins the title in 19:42; Centralia 42 points is the team champion


CIC XC Conference Meet

Boys: 1A #1 Tuscola goes 1-4 with senior Will Foltz winning in 15:27; Tuscola rolls with 16 points

Girls: Kate Foltz (So., Tuscola) wins in 17:28; Shelbyville is the team winner with 26 points


MVC Championship

Boys: 2A #16 Civic Memorial wins by 10 points over Triad 49-59; Max Weber (So., Civic Memorial) 15:33- wins by 19 seconds

Girls: Angelynn Kanyuck (Sr., Waterloo) takes the first place spot in 18:56; 2A #11 Waterloo grabs the first three placements en route to a 25-point performance


Western Big 6 Conference XC Championships

Boys: Dale Johnson (Sr., Sterling) is a 22-second winner in 15:16; unranked Geneseo surprises 2A #25 Sterling 46-51

Girls: Geneseo wins over Sterling 58-65; Olivia Schuering (Sr., Quincy) for the win in 18:40


10/13---------

Mid-Illini Conference Championships

Boys: 2A #1 Morton puts all five of its scorers inside the top 10 and wins the team title with 25 points. Josh Weeks (Sr.) wins by 11 seconds in 15:27.

Girls: 2A #3 Washington slips past #6 Morton 43-49; Sophia Ramirez (So., Washington) wins by 14 sec with a time of 18:13. 

Southwest Prairie Conference Championship

Boys: #2 Plainfield South barely eases past rival #3 Plainfield North 35-38. The difference was the 1-2 finish from the state's top duo, Dylan Maloney (Jr.) and Camyn Viger (Sr.). Maloney breaks the course record with a sizzling 14:26. Viger and Thomas Czerwinski (So., Plainfield North) clocked swift 14:37 and 14:38 marks.

Girls: #9 Yorkville upset #7 Minooka 47-52 to win the team title; Morgan Dick (Sr., Oswego East) for the narrow win in 17:54.

Chicago Public League Championships : PHOTOS I VIDEOS 

Boys: #15 Chicago Lane Tech defended its title over Payton 39-56; Mohamed Abdullahi (Sr., Mather) races home for the winner in 15:09.

Girls: Lane Tech scores 44 pts for the win; Lucia Ton-That (Jr., Northside Prep) wins her first title with a time of 18:24.

Big 12 Conference Championship

Boys: Normal Community wins team title with 46 points over 1A #6 Peoria (Notre Dame); Joseph Yaros (Jr., Normal Community) gets the upset win at Detweiller Park with a time of 15:18.

Girls: Julie Bach (So., Normal West) wins in 18:09; Normal West is the team champion with 66 points.


Big Northern Conference Meet

BoysWeston Forward (Sr., Rockford Christian) is the big winner over the 5000m distance in 16:07; Dixon wins the team title over Rockford Christian 41-57

Girls: Ariel Hernandez (Jr., Rock Falls) wins her first title in a time of 19:53; Dixon was the easy winner w/28 points


CCL/GCAC Championship

Boys: Matthew Conroy (Sr., Chicago St. Ignatius) wins the crown with a time of 15:21 at Loyola Academy); 2A #9 Marmion Academy gets past St. Ignatius 46-54

Girls: St. Ignatius' Annika Swan (So.) dominated her race to win in 18:15; 2A #4 St. Ignatius took the team championship  59-79 over Depaul Prep

West Suburban Conference (Silver) Championship

Boys: #1 Downers Grove North puts all five scorers in the top 15 and scores 37 points for the win; Aden Bandukwala (Sr., Hinsdale Central) takes the individual win in 15:57.

Girls: #1 York easily defeats #3 Downers Grove North 18-47. The Lady Dukes put all five scorers inside the top 10; Michaela Quinn (Sr., York) wins the rugged affair in 18:50


Mid-Suburban League Championship

Boys: #7 Barrington is a surprisingly easy winner over #4 Hersey 30-64. The Broncos put all five of its scorers in the top 10, including the individual champion Joe Bregenzer (Jr.), who ran a time of 15:08.

Girls: Veronica Znajda (Jr., Prospect) handed Scout Storms (Jr., Barrington) her first season loss 17:29-17:48. #4 Prospect squeezed past the second-ranked Fillies 33-35 for the team title.


DuKane Conference Championships

Boys: "Jed" Jedidiah Wilson (Sr., St. Charles East) follows his older brother Micah Wilson as an individual conference champion. At Lake Park HS, Jed powered away from Josiah Narayanan (Jr., Wheaton South) with a time of 15:11. The team battle came down to the fifth man, and #12 St. Charles East prevailed 39-45.

Girls: Nicole Poglitsch (Jr., Wheaton South) was the only runner to break 18:00 with her 17:31 winning effort. Wheaton North won their first title in quite a while, scoring 46 points to outdistance Wheaton-Warrenville South, who tallied 74.


Fox Valley Conference Championship

Boys: Tommy Nitz (Jr., Huntley) is a ten second winner over Will Gelon (Sr., Prairie Ridge) in 15:19; Prairie Ridge wins the team championship, scoring 68 points.

Girls: Danielle Jensen (Sr., McHenry) roars to be a big win in 17:50; #15 Huntley is 23 points better than Crystal Lake Central w/44 points.
