NAPERVILLE- From the moment the top returning 4x800m quartet from Hinsdale Central was in the building with team-issued uniforms and spike bags over their shoulders, it was serious business. Dan Watcke, the Red Devils star senior, appeared ready also.

Junior Aden Bandukwala was tasked with leadoff chores as he usually does and is quickly becoming one of the best in the sport. It didn't take long for the lanky one to open up and separate himself from the fray. Bandukwala would hand off to teammate Grant Miller (Sr) on the strength of a 1:54.0 carry.

Things got a little tight with Miller behind the wheel but the resistance soon faded and the shrinking lead was halted with a 2:00.1 leg.

Senior Michael Skora was next up and it took several laps for him to wake up when he did he put his mate and fellow mate Watcke in prime position to chase after the meet record after dropping his leg to 1:58.8.

Watcke did not mess around, hit the first circuit in 26.0 and later 54.xx. He ran one of the fastest legs ever indoors which topped 1:52- The rest is history including the now former meet record held by Sandburg. Congratulations to Hinsdale Central and their US#1 7:45.73.
