NAPERVILLE- It was another hyped second Monday of March, marking the greatest night to be a part of an experience designated for track relay enthusiasts and the results spoke with the VOLUME on full blast.

The first event of the day was the vaulted 4x800 and it did not take long for the state lead to come tumbling down. The Knights of Prospect came onto the North Central College campus with a purpose and it started with their "B team" setting the tone.

Approximately 15 minutes before the hurricane would land, the powerful winds of section two gave a chilling warning sign.

There was little resistance on the first leg and it was smooth sailing for the Knights who for about 12 minutes (adding in sec 3 intros and instructions) had the fastest time in the state by a wide margin.

Splits: Kaitlin Skelton (Jr) 2:24.5, Sophie Fransen (So) 2:24.1, Samantha Patterson (Jr) 2:22.1, Veronica Znajda (So) 2:18.0

Section three race was one that the numbers that were supposed to tell a story. The stats said Prospect would break the all-time meet record by a small margin. That was a mistake. The greatest indoor performance was set up by a blistering opening 400m by Chicago St. Ignatius freshman Annika Swan hit the mark in 63.1. Swan acted more as a pacesetter who refused to yield to the freight-training rolling Knights. Her split around 2:16.5 and that would the recipe that Prospect needed in order to get it done.

Erickson went out a bit hard on this first circuit to bust open the race but it was smooth sailing for the rest of the girls who had to weave around traffic and lapped runners. Ginsberg's determination resulted in her team earning the fastest ever time of 9:04.68 indoors and US#3.

Splits: Cameron Kalaway (Sr) 2:17.1, Hailey Erickson (Sr) 2:18.1, Meg Peterson (Fr) 2:15.6, Lily Ginsberg (Jr) 2:13.5
