FULL STORY

As a former prep star at the Lake Park High School in Roselle, Lindsay Flanagan was successful in virtually any angle one could imagine. As a senior Flanagan won the 2008 3A state cross country title and later earned All-American status in the Footlocker and Nike Team Cross Country Championships. After high school, Flanagan went on to compete at the University of Washington. In Seattle, she earned several All-American honors on the track in the 10K.

Since turning professional in 2014, Flanagan's talent has led her to compete around the world, partaking in some top-flight competitions. In her most recent affair, Flanagan won the Gold Coast Marathon in Queensland, Australia in two hours, twenty-four minutes, thirty-five seconds. It was a personal best by two minutes as well as a course record. Flanagan has established herself as one of the top American marathoners and should be someone to watch for in the next series of world trials and Olympic qualifying bouts.
