Ali Ince Named IL Girls Gatorade Player Of The Year

Ali Ince put on a show for the second time in as many seasons in May's state championship

On Thursday Gatorade released its state-by-state winners for its annual Player of the Year awards and Normal Community High School sophomore "Ali" Allison Ince was the recipient of the girl's award.

The multi-talented Ince produced another chart-topping track and field season which many pundits did not expect to occur. Ince led the state in the 400m (55.25), 800m (2:04.14), and IL#2 1600m (4:46.84). Ince was the state champion in the 400 and 800-meter events.

Off the track, Ince was just as devasting, maintaining a robust 4.93-grade point average in the classroom. She also made her presence known in the community, volunteering at local food banks and assisting youth programs.
