-Hinsdale Central moves into the top spot for the first time this season. The Red Devils perhaps added another piece to their championship pie as Daniel Watcke scored a big win in the 1600m at the Pete Struck Invite. The junior star ran 4:12.43 which makes him a favorite in the event for the state championship if he chooses that route.
Minooka was hit hard by the prom bug last weekend which hampered their ability to maximize on some big point potential. Junior Zachary Balzer stepped up in the 1600 over two meets.
No longer an enigma, Prospect came out carrying a big stick and later connected against a set of solid foes at the Wanner Invitational. The Knights produced two state leading relay efforts and several other top 10 performances. It appears they are a team to seriously keep an eye open for down the road.
