The Five Boys Storylines To Watch For at DNIP 2022

Championship 1600m-

This is the main event and what everyone is waiting for. 17 young men in which 4:22 is the final seed time! Gavin Genisio (So., Benton) used his personal best 4:13.93 seed time from 2021. Can he handle arguably the top overall distance runner Nick Falk (Sr., New Trier) who has run 4:14 this season? Falk has deceptive speed and the ability to close out any pace thrown at him.

Wisconsin products Aidan Manning (Sr., Verona) and Owen Bosley (Jr., Homestead) will be there too to challenge for a top five spot.

Don't forget about Micah Wilson (Sr., St. Charles East). He is more than a 5K runner, he has run under 4:20 several times.

As with this race, the element of surprise may come into play. Michael Schumacher (Sr., St. Viator), Jack Klein (Sr., Chicago Lane Tech), and Michael Atkins (Sr., Wheaton-Warrenville South) are strong runners to keep a keen eye open for.
