-Last season's team runner-up at state debuted some top athletes and shot right to the top of the rankings once the smoke cleared. Before you cry foul look and see that the Geneseo leads the class in the long and high jumps (Annie Wirth), 4x400m, and second place in the 4x200m. Ali Rapps is back and has contributed as well.
Kankakee is still strong, they have Naomi Bey-Osborne and Neveah Lowe so don't count the Kays out. Their 4x200 is among the best in the state.
Normal U-High has their all-around star Anna Barr in the mix. As we enter conference week be on the lookout for all teams to leave a mark as they move toward Top Times or outdoor season.
