Outlook: While there may be fewer teams in the boy's field, it is certain to give a knockout punch. The races will kick off with Flight 1 who will have some very strong competition even though being home to teams #6 through #10 runners. Ahmad Alhayek of Sandburg enters with the top seed time in the field. After a very solid sophomore campaign, the Eagles #6 runner had a very slow start to his senior year campaign. That changed after his personal best performance at the Sandburg, ever since he has been on a roll and will look to be the favorite in the field.

George Esteve of New Trier will try and compete with Alhayek. The Trevians #6 runner has had more of a consistent year running the best marks of his life at his first two competitions of the year. These two didn't get the chance to battle at the Sandburg Showcase, so this will be their first matchup of the season.

Guys like Declan Tunney of Sandburg, Conor O'Neill of New Trier, and Harry Wood Prince of Loyola Academy are others that could find themselves taking home a victory tonight.

The main event of the evening will be a tasteful one as we will see one of our top runners all year, Spencer Werner of Loyola Academy defend his home course. Werner has been absolutely rolling this year as he has been undefeated in his for bouts up to this point. He was very happy after his 15:34 performance on his home course last week. Can he break 15:30 this time?

Nick Falk of New Trier will be looking for some redemption from his neighboring rival. Falk ran 15:04 at the Sandburg Showcase to take second to Werner by a mere six seconds. Falk could have a different plan this go around and could dethrone the Loyola star for the first time this year.

There is a ton of the state's premier runners in the field with Matt Coyle of Maine South, Charlie Siebert of New Trier, and Ismail Tineh of Sandburg gracing the field as well.
