Adam White is a name that has a rung a bell around the Peoria IL area since the early 1990s when he was a star prep distance runner for Notre Dame High School. White, a three-time all-stater for the Irish, enjoyed his best finish as a senior when he took the runner-up spot in the IHSA Class 2A State Meet (2 class system) in 14:31.
White enjoyed a competitive college career at Wabash College before entering the business world. As a co-owner of Shazam Racing/RC Outfitters, White and business partner Brad Henz are pillars of the central Illinois distance running scene. Recently, after the IHSA did not offer a full post-season cross country calendar, White and Henz along with several other individuals, came up with a concept to put on a championship event for grammar and high school student-athletes.
The event is called the 2020 XC Championships. The event will take place at the Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, IL on the weekends of October 31- November 1 and November 7 and 8.
