Class A 2018: Warrensburg-Latham Boys 4x1 Makes Statement

RESULTS I VIDEOS I PHOTOS

In 2017, Warrensburg-Latham wasn't quite ready for stardom despite having a good squad that made the final. The Cardinals fumbled the first exchange and were out of the sweepstakes.

But what a difference a year makes.

With a new season and experience, twins Diondre Lewis and Dionte Lewis would take charge in the prelim round with the fastest overall time of 43.02. This group gave up several events such as the 4x200 and the 400 to get a coveted one-lap stick relay crown.

But the final was what everyone from the Decatur area was watching including our very own critic "The B-Side" who previously worked with the twins on mechanics in the summer.

Jarius Ingram was moved from the second leg to lead off and it worked out. He was able to get a clean handoff to newcomer Addison Hortin. But the Cardinals had work to do as they were in a deficit against the field.

It was on the crucial third leg that Diondre got loose and stretch out on the curve. He got the stick to the most familiar person that he knows- his brother. Dionte got a clean exchange and was in the clear and the redemption complete in one of the fastest times in classification history: 42.43
