On the track COVID-19 took away Schirmer's chance of defending his three titles from 2019 (100m, 110H, & 300H), he was the top returner in those events for class 2A. He also had a shot at securing a fourth gold medal at the state meet. He had a chance to take down the classification's State Meet records in the 110H (13.93) & 300H (36.53). His Marengo team came into the season ranked #2 Preseason, coming home with a state trophy for the second straight year was a real possibility. His next stop is the University of Minnesota.
