Outlook: It could be a rebuilding affair after the graduation losses of John Meyer and Sam Liokumovich over the past several years. The fun characters those two young men possessed will not be forgotten and hopefully, the emerging breed will be ready for the challenges of 2020.
Appel is one of the guys who appear set for stardom. The classification's top returner placed fourth in the state with a mark of 58-9. Certainly, we should see him clear the 60-foot mark early and often.
Shawn Lee's prospects here are looking up after breaching 56-feet and placing 10th in the state. It is also the motivation to be one of the elite throwers in Illinois.
Peter Skoronski is the other returning all-stater, taking seventh in Charleston.
