Key teams: Dixon, Wheaton (St. Francis), Stanford-Olympia, Sycamore, Chicago (UHigh), Triad, Rochester
Outlook: It was a magical year for Dixon who won the title without having a runner break 2:00 in the open 800m. After losing leaders Collin Grady and Andrew Lohse to graduation, it will be up to seasoned juniors Brock Dregenberg and Cadyn Grafton to lead the way. Finding a pair to replace what has been lost is not impossible, but will be a chore.
In the interim look for some other squads to build up their fleet and get back to the mountain top. Stanford-Olympia appears the strongest of the group with all four legs back from a fourth-place state meet finish. Sycamore follows with three as does Chicago U-High and Rochester.
