Outlook: Over the past few years we have seen some great talent in the high hurdles come through the classification with the likes of Mason Barr, Bret Dannis, and AJ Christensen fly by the competition with easy wins, this year will be a bit different with there being no clear favorite.

Jefferson Caspary is slated as the paper big dog, but can easily be passed up. Keep in mind that he has the top returning time 15.06- 7th in Charleston last spring.

Kollin Schlipf is a top return and is expected to alongside Caspary and whoever else that poses a threat. Schlipf's issue in the past has been consistency in performances. Hopefully, he will maintain his poise.

The real hurdler to watch for throughout the year is Bennett Soltow of Forreston who has seen what it takes to be the top hurdler in the field. As a freshman Soltow watched his senior teammate AJ Christensen dominate the hurdles and go on and win a state title. He has the second fastest returning time in the classification and will look to sit upon the 1A throne when everything is said and done. Could a 14.7 be on the table for one of these hurdlers?
