2020 Class A Boys Pre-Season Relays Preview

4x200m-
2019 State Champion: Spring Valley Hall 1:29.49
Key Teams: Maroa-Forsyth, DuQuoin, Belleville (Althoff Catholic), Lena-Winslow, Clifton Central, Camp Point Central, Morrison, Chicago (Leo), Williamsville, Urbana (University), Nashville, Forreston, Warrensburg-Latham, Pana, Chicago Hope Academy, Pinckneyville, Spring Valley Hall, Arcola, Winnetka (North Shore Country Day), Robinson
Outlook: Sometimes referred to as the B-team relay due to not every team's top 200m stars running on it due to it being between the 400m and 300H, that is not the case in Class 1A due to not every team having very much depth of runners to choose from.

Morrison could be the only team that has that depth was they can decide not to run their 22.86 200m runner Keegan Anderson and can still possibly be an all-state relay. The Mustangs return all four members of their 1:32.58 relay from last year, a relay with Anderson on it. They won the Top Times Title last season with the same squad and are looking to dominate this spring.

Camp Point Central is returning three members of their 7th place state 4x200m. Lead by their 200m star Levi Hecox, the Panthers have a few options to replace the leg they lost.

Watch for Leo in this relay as well as they are the biggest wildcard in the classification. If they load up their 4x200m this year they may very easily run through the classification, but after not racing their top runners in it once throughout the year, we will have to wait and see what happens.
