Outlook: We say goodbye to possibly the best pole vaulter we have ever seen in the classification as Kyle Kruthoff has now graduated and moved on to the College of DuPage. Kruthoff leaves behind a strong field that is very close to one another.
Tim Moore has the top returning mark of the classification with his 14-9 vault that he had when he took 3rd at the IHSA State Meet last May. Moore will be looking to carry the torch this year. While coach David Delaney hasn't seen much of his star vaulter yet, he did that he fully expects for a 15+ foot performance and a state title come May.
Isaac Daughery follows closely behind though. Daughery has a 14-6 performance to his name and is the second-best returner from the state meet last year. He may very well challenge the 15-foot barrier this year as well.
Then we have our wildcard with Cameron Withers. Withers hasn't had the best luck at the state meet taking 12th the past two years, but he will look to make a huge improvement this year. Coach Erica Foltz says that her star vaulter has already cleared 14-7 indoors this season and will look to break 15-feet as well this year.
With the additions of Isaac Whitaker, Ryan Steiner, Cameron Abell, Dustin Roberts, and Gervasio Marchizza coming close behind we will see a stacked year.
