2020 Class A Girls Pre-Season Sprints Preview Shows Depth

300H-
2019 State Champion: Kenli Nettles (Sr., Arthur) 43.68
Key Returners: Nettles, Capria Brown (Sr., Danville [Schlarman]), Claire Wilhour (Sr., Brownstown), Chloe Moyer (Jr., Meridian), Shaelin Ruzich (Jr., Reed-Custer), Hannah Jones (Sr., Knoxville), Gracie Jessup (Jr., Catlin [Salt Fork]), Jalynn Wood (So., DuQuoin), Katie Cox (So., Pittsfield)
Outlook: Nettles continued her star track season last year with a double win in both hurdling events. She's entering the 2020 season as the #1 returner in the state out of any classification. If fresh, she could push toward a 42-second effort.

Nettles is not the only show in town. A tremendous group led by Katie Cox who drops in from 2A. A third-place finish at state coupled with a 45.00 personal best means she is serious. Capria Brown, Claire Wilhour, and Chloe Moyer were all close to each other last season and will likely maintain that similar level of competition throughout the 2020 season. They all were in the sub 46.00 realm.
