Outlook: One thing Newton, Rockridge, Amboy, and Monmouth have in common is that they're returning all four of the relay runners on their state teams- and they all have run under 4:10.
State champion DuQuoin won by almost four seconds last year, and only graduated Madison Davis, so they could still solidify their position at the top of the state's relays. The Indians rocked 4:01.38 for a classification best and it could be just as fruitful at the end of the day.
Rockridge has an especially young team as there were three sophomores on it last year, so the three now-juniors could be developed into a powerhouse this season and the next.
