2020 Rears The Class A Girls Pre-Season Field Previews

High Jump-
2019 State Champion: Kenli Nettles (Sr., Arthur) 5'7"
Key returners: Nettles, Brooke Probst (So., Indian Creek), Kaylenn Hunt (Jr., Shiloh), Lauren Friess (Sr., Johnston City), Sydney Norman (Sr., Fulton)
Outlook: With so many of last year's key performers graduated including 2018 state champion Daelin Switzer of Decatur (St. Teresa), the road to glory should continue for the multi-talented Kenli Nettles. The future U of Iowa product may very well be on her way to a career in the heptathlon and this event should serve as a serious point-gatherer. But don't think for a second that this is a side event after clearing a personal best 5'7"--that mark in itself is the seventh-best effort in the state. Brooke Probst and Kaylenn Hunt are two of the state's emerging jumpers. Watch for them to blossom into something special this season.
