RESULTS

Outcome: Defending state champion Sam Spencer (Jr., Providence Catholic) competed in several events on the track as an addendum to her beloved pole vault.

Lincoln Sectional-

RESULTS

Outcome: It was Springfield Southeast on the first night at sectionals. Seniors Serena Bolden and Raven Moore their opponents with 1-2 combo punches all night long at Lanphier HS. The meet officials finally had to call the dogs off. Bolden took the 100, 200, LJ, TJ in easy money fashion. Moore won the 400 and starred on the 4x100 and 100.

Metamora Sectional-

RESULTS
Outcome: Morton over Normal UHigh for the title 86-85; Aspen Gordon (Sr., Morton) wins 1600 and 3200 (11:02.01); Jessica McDowell (Sr., Normal U High) sweeps sprints: 12.46, 57.39, 25.08

Richmond-Burton Sectional-
RESULTS
Outcome: Marian Catholic takes title w/124 pts

Rochelle Sectional-
RESULTS
Outcome: Breya Christopher (Sr., Galena) emerged as the winner of the HJ in 5-5; Lianna Surtz (Fr., Rosary) is improving at the right time, advancing to state in the 4x800/1600

Tolono (Unity) Sectional-
RESULTS
Outcome: A very good sectional that may have surprised some pundits. Olivia Rosenstein (Jr., Urbana) led the charge in the 3200 (11:17.11) in which seven girls qualified for state. Emelia Ness (Jr., Monticello) swept the hurdles, the 300 (45.94) was impressive; Rhiannon Held (So., Mt. Zion) goes 12-5 in PV; Diamonasia Taylor (Jr., Urbana) leaps 5-5 for HJ crown
