Looks like Charlie Parrish of Freeburg has something up his sleeve. He traveled to the prestigious Texas Relays and competed in the 2000m steeplechase where he placed 3rd in a good time of 6:09.78. Parrish's time cracked into the top ten marks over the last decade.
While it is still too early to predict national rankings in the steeple, Parrish's time should bode well for him in the future should he contest it at New Balance Outdoors or Jr. Nationals. Last weekend at the Illinois Top Times, Parrish won the 2A 3200m title in 9:22.79.
