Pierre's thoughts: Some seem to be confused with our rankings within this classification. These are not head to head rankings, and for indoors these are not championship rankings, they are closer to team rankings. With that being said the #1 team to end the indoor season is Naperville North. Most equate the Huskies as only a distance power, but it is their success this indoor season in sprint relays and hurdles that helped them hold off a hard charging Homewood-Flossmoor team at the end. Watch out for Naperville North. The Lady Vikings of H-F will be in the mix for a team title in May, they have the athletes and performances to make that a legit possibility. Glenbard West is another team who under the state meet scoring format could walk away with the grand prize. Downers Grove North is a team that didn't sniff the top 15 preseason, but surprise, the Lady Trojans end the indoor season at #4. DGN has to be excited about their progress. Don't sleep on West Aurora, our preseason #1 team, an injury knocked them off the track indoors but if all the pieces are healthy don't be surprised if they finish near the top in May. The chase for the team title is one we won't take our eyes off, we recommend you don't either.
