Girls-
Carmel 4th- 194 points; Naperville North 10th- 272; Minooka 16th- 353* (6th runner tie goes to Keller TX)
-It was a solid day for the Midwest girls who nabbed four All-American awards: India Johnson (Sr., Hilliard Davidson, OH) 17:53- 9th, Anne Forsyth (Jr., Ann Arbor MI) 17:58- 14th, Anna Sophia Keller (Sr., St. Anthony IL) 17:59; Katelynne Hart (Sr., Glenbard West IL) 18th- 18:01
Boys-
Naperville North 5th- 181 points; Downers Grove North 12th- 316; Mahomet-Seymour 17th- 382
-The MW boys got out extremely well with Naperville North in the 4th position and Downers Grove North holding 5th at the first mile. The individual contingent had big numbers upfront through the opening mile in 4:52. However, that was the only frontrunning highlight. Defending champion senior Casey Clinger of American Fork UT would take over and put on a tremendous surge and it was all but over. He would become the first repeat champion in NXN history win in 15:28.
Naperville North ran well but came up a tad short in their bid of obtaining a national championship or even a top three trophy. The Wildcats were able to produce a 10 second scoring split which netted 5th place overall.
The Midwest individual team was able to earn three All-American awards. Danny Kilrea (Jr., Downers Grove North) 13th- 15:50, Jack Aho (Sr., Grayslake Central) 17th- 15:58; Dylan Jacobs (Jr., Sandburg) 19th- 16:00
