Fenwick faced off against Chicago Public League teams and came away with an easy victory despite #1 runner Delaney Gibbons dropping out of the race just before the first mile. The Friars were led by Nicole Finn who stayed in the top five throughout the race. Her scoring teammates were able to close the gap and produce a formable 26 second scoring split.

Lane Tech senior Maggie Scholle won her third straight regional title this time in 18:15. Scholle hit the first mile in approximately 5:50 while building up a big lead on teammate sophomore Maddie King. Scholle appeared to struggle midway as her pace slowed and the opportunity to break the meet of 17:49 was dashed. King pulled away from Whitney Young sophomore Zyana Cabrera before the two mile mark and set sail for Scholle. King ran a personal best 18:28, showing remarkable improvement since the beginning of the season.
