What a week for distance in Illinois. We had a 4:53 mile, a 2:03 800….for the first 800 of a 1600. Grant and Patrick traveled to Florida, Glenbard West girls had three winners in three events. We saw a 9:22 and a sub 8. Wow.

What a weekend in Illinois. With amazing marks all across the track (and field), it can be easy to overlook how deep all the distance races were this week.
This past week didn’t provide the large meets that we saw last week. However, we did see some mind-boggling performances particularly on the girls side. We had the first girl under five minutes and Skyler Bollinger put her name among the best freshman in the nation.
