Meet Registration: All registration will be done via Milesplit Illinois, coaches/individuals will need to claim or create their team account then upload their team roster (see attached template; I can assist if given in advance). Whether you think a kid will join the team or not ADD THEM TO THE ROSTER. For those who have an account already do not create a new one. Unattached athletes will need to find and claim their profile also.

Volunteers: Each school should supply at least ONE volunteer to assist running the meet. Most assistance will be needed at the field events, check-in, awards, and pre/post race marshalls, few will be needed at the start/finish lines hanging out or timing. Volunteers should reach out to Coach Pierre at pnealon1@gmail.com for interest in advance.

Awards: Top three scoring teams on championship day will receive a trophy per grade level, per gender (3-4th, 5-6th, 7-8th). Only two entries per event may score points on championship day, one relay may score. Medals to top three, and ribbons thru sixth place will be awarded every meet.

Track Spikes: They are allowed during competition. No spikes are to be worn in the bleachers, or on the turf field with the exception of walking to and from a race. pyramid spikes only!!!!!

Starting Blocks: Optional, may be used in the 7-8th grade division only.

Spectators: $2 admission, Remain in the bleachers and cheer for your team as loud as you can.

Concessions will be open

Access to the school will  not be available

Team Camps: Camps should be in the bleachers or outside of the gates. No team camps  are to be set up on the turf field unless meet management makes a change. Non competing athletes should be in the bleachers or team camps AND NOT on the turf field hanging out.

Three events will be the maximum for all grade levels. The last individual event signed up for will be deleted by meet management if more than three events are entered. Girls may run on boy relays, that race WILL count towards an athletes limit. Team points and awards will be forfeited if this rule is found to be violated. Some events will have limited entries per school to aid in the timeliness of the meet. Meet management reserves the right to verify all seed times to ensure the integrity of the meets. Heat sheets will be developed based on seed times. Given constant changes/scratches, heat sheets will always be unofficial, live results will be updated in real time.

Petitioning Up: Some of you may have athletes who outperform their grade level, coaches may move up an athlete for advanced competition BEFORE meet entries close for individual events by reaching out to the meet manager. DO NOT move an athlete up against a higher grade level in order to give them an event, or to try an event not offered for their grade level if they wont be competitive. Move ups will still count towards an athletes event limit, that athlete will also be ineligible to receive an individual medal at a grade level they did not compete in. Meet management has the right to deny all petitions to move up.

Athletes not finishing in their lane risk disqualification and not receiving a time. The lines on the track have been resurfaced to aid in lane ownership.
