19:49-33:38 Girls state championship preview: 1A breakdown
1. Father McGivney defends their title, Elena Rybak goes for a big-time quad 2. Tuscola is the slight favorite, will lean on Kate Foltz, Lia Patterson, and field events 3. Distance events converge (Rybak, Isabella Keller, Foltz, Kyla Babb?, Molly Farrell, Denning) 4. Emma Randecker goes for the sprint triple 5. Tight sprint relays (Monmouth United, Maroa Forsyth, EPG) 6. Lia Patterson goes for double defense 7. The Martin Twins (Karasyn Martin & Camryn Martin in the Pole Vault; the questions: Randecker in 200m ( 24.49). Who wins the 1A title?

33:39-43:19 2A state preview-
Storylines: Normal U is the prohibitive favorite, and has a lot of margin for error. Sunny Weber is clearly the favorite to complete XC, 32/16 triple crown (first since Tatum David). Perhaps Goranson is a challenger in the 1600. Sophia Schardan is possibly the breakout athlete of the year in 2A, big 100/200 favorite. Challenged by Holmes/Holman. Also leads both sprint relays. Are we on record watch for any events? 4x1 Uhigh (47.25), St Francis 4x8 (9:12.80), Triple Jump Hamb/Rice (40-3)

43:20-1:05 3A state preview-
Most compelling title chase is Prospect v. HF. Plainfield North v. WY, and perhaps Huntley, Edw, Ignatius, Barrington for the last trophy spot. Sprint relays dominate again, both 4x1 and 4x2 will be insane, HF/Prospect 46.3 last week. 1:38s abound and are better than Robinson/Bullock's double showdown, 200 is especially stacked. Robinson's best chance at a first state title may be in the 400. But it is the best 400 in a long time. (let's not snooze on Raglin, Niebrugge, + others)

The South v North in hurdles, Daisha Brunson, Amy Carhee, Sophia Shapiro (breakout athlete of the year?) Sirois goes for the triple crown, which is a prohibitive favorite in the 3200, but must contend with the St. Ignatius duo, others in the 1600. Prospect 5 peat in the 4x800? Dom Johnson Swan Song, state leader in both jumps. Sherrie Emmons and Kyla Motley are challengers in the LJ. Record Watch: 11.41 is the IHSA record; all conditions are 11.32. 23.32 is IHSA, 23.05 is all-time legal. Dominique Johnson in triple jump (42-8.5)
