Elin Latta (Fr., South Texas Homeschool, TX)- She is finally in high school and has continued to run extremely well, placing 23rd at the Nike Cross Nationals. Latta is the top seed at 4:46.37y. She took fourth here in 4:57.16 and will look to move up.

Jessie Jazwinski (Sr., Shelby, MI)- The NC State commit comes in at 4:48.47y from last year's indoor season. Jazwinski took the runner-up spot last year in 4:51.69. This will be her first race of the season after completing a banner cross country campaign that made the Footlocker HOKA National Championship.

Annika Swan (Jr., Chicago St. Ignatius)- One of the most outstanding distance runners in Illinois from cross country to the 800m. Swan enjoyed a banner season in '24, running a personal best 4:48.55y. Swan's portfolio continues to grow.

Ani Wedemeyer (Sr., Pleasant Valley, IA)- A solid long-distance runner and sub 2:10 performer in the half-mile, Wedemeyer is contesting an event in which she has room to improve. Her best arrived last year in 4:54.33y.

Isabella Keller (So., Effingham St. Anthony, IL)- Back at it in her second year, Keller, who has dominated in the longer stuff, will venture in a "middle ground" race. She ran 4:51.77 for 1600m as a freshman.

Emma Berres (Sr., Naperville North, IL)- From the long-distance rich program under the legendary coach Dan Iverson, Berres has made her bread and butter in the 800m. She is an all-stater in that event but has run 4:55.01 in the 1600m.

Elizabeth Butler (Sr., Hamilton Southeastern, IN)- Her specialty event is the 3200m, and she placed 4th in the state 3200m last year. Although she did not run the 1600m much, she logged a good 4:57.01.

Mia Sirois (So., Barrington, IL)- The newest face of Illinois distance running is front and center. Sirois broke the all-time state 3-mile record in recording her first state cross-country title. She would go on to place 6th at NXN. Don't be fooled by her 4:58.28 PB on the track. She is much better than that.

Meg Peterson (Jr., Mt. Prospect [Prospect])- The fabulous Prospect cross country and track programs centerpiece runner. Peterson will seize an opportunity to shine in the HOKA Mile. She has a PB of 4:57.03.

Josie Cahill (Sr., New Trier)- Coming off of a banner xc season and now ready for the HOKA Mile, Cahill has run 5:01.47.
