It has been tight near the top all season long. It appears OPRF and Edwardsville are chief contenders for bringing home the team title. Both teams possess many quality individual and relay entries that they hope to get to Saturday in what projects to be a highly competitive preliminary day. Given the total number of heats in select events, some entries may not advance as there may not be many extra qualifier spots available. The overall quality in 3A makes this class unpredictable, as we have said multiple times this season. Some teams not in the top ten may well finish in the top seven. We'll be in for a long Friday, given all the qualifiers, survive and advance. We'll see you in Charleston.
