4x800 relay-
Chicago St. Ignatius, Chicago Lane, Yorkville, and Minooka have a fleet of runners in the mid to high 2:20s, they have an opportunity to go out possibly break 9:40. This would build their confidence for the future and part of knowing how to piece state level units together could begin here.
4x200 relay-
Chicago Whitney Young is the state leader at 1:44.27. There are six sections, and things usually get interesting around the fourth one. We could see our first sub 1:50 winner in section five with Bolingbrook. Keep an eye on their ace Kristyn Johnson (Sr.).
The final section features six teams, all seeded under 1:49 with York leading the way at 1:44.00. The speedy Lady Dukes have sub 26-second 200m runners Elaine Paul (Sr.) and Morgan Navarre (So.) as part of the quartet.
Lincoln-Way East is strong with Kyra Hayden (Jr) somewhere on the unit.
Add in Prospect for depth and Charlotte Deines (Sr.) on anchor.
4x400 relay-
There are five sections ready to greet the faithful. Prepare your eyes for section five, top-seeded Minooka at 4:07. The Indians missed the final fast section but could make things interesting for everyone. Batavia and Naperville North could challenge under 4:10.
The showstopper appears underrated on paper but will be fast and may produce the best time in the state. York, Lane, and Neuqua Valley post 4:06 marks and very well could get close to 4:00. Don't forget the defending champs from Prospect. They are listed at 4:06 and will undoubtedly be in the mix.
